The Beauty Sleeper is based in the heart of Copenhagen, a city deeply connected to thoughtful design, craftsmanship, and a more conscious approach to fashion and beauty.
From the very beginning, our ambition has been to create long-lasting products made to be loved and used for many years to come. Rather than following fast trends or overproduction, we believe in surrounding ourselves with fewer, more meaningful objects that bring beauty, comfort, and calm into everyday life.
We continuously strive to make thoughtful choices throughout our production and sourcing while never compromising on the quality, comfort, and craftsmanship that define The Beauty Sleeper.
Silk
The Beauty Sleeper products are crafted from 100% Mulberry silk, a natural protein fibre that has been treasured for thousands of years for its softness, durability, and timeless beauty.
Silk is a long-lasting natural material and, compared to many modern synthetic fabrics, has a lighter environmental impact when produced thoughtfully and in smaller quantities.
Surplus & Deadstock Fabrics
For selected pieces, we work with carefully sourced surplus and deadstock fabrics including silk, wool, and linen.
By giving existing high-quality textiles new life, we are able to create small, limited collections while helping reduce unnecessary waste within the fashion and textile industry.
Many of these fabrics are produced in very limited quantities, making each collection feel especially unique and thoughtfully made.
Digital Printing
Our fabrics are digitally printed in small batches by our OEKO-TEX certified supplier.
While no manufacturing process is entirely without environmental impact, digital printing is generally considered a more conscious alternative to traditional textile printing, which often requires large amounts of water, energy, and ink.
Digital printing uses very little water, and all fabrics are printed and dyed in compliance with EU regulations regarding harmful substances. The inks used in our production are certified Azo dye free.
Sewing Studio
All Beauty Sleeper products are carefully handcrafted by a small family-run sewing studio in Shanghai specialising in silk craftsmanship and delicate hand-finished details.
We chose to work with a specialist silk studio in China because silk originated there thousands of years ago, and the country remains world-renowned for its exceptional expertise and long tradition of working with this delicate natural fibre.
The Danish-owned studio combines Scandinavian sensibility with generations of silk craftsmanship, bringing remarkable precision, softness, and attention to detail to every Beauty Sleeper product.
Silk Offcuts
All offcuts from the production of our silk sleep masks and pillowcases are carefully saved and transformed into our silk scrunchies in order to minimise unnecessary waste within our production process.
