Craftsmanship

The Beauty Sleeper is designed in Copenhagen and handcrafted by a small family-run sewing studio in Shanghai, world-renowned for its long tradition of working with silk.

We believe in fewer, better things: products made to last, not to be replaced. Each sleep mask is carefully finished by hand, combining Scandinavian simplicity with generations of silk expertise.

For selected styles, we work with surplus and deadstock fabrics to give high-quality textiles new life and reduce unnecessary waste.

Made from 100% mulberry silk, our Silk Scrunchies are exceptionally soft, smooth and gentle on the hair.

Unlike traditional elastic hair ties, silk helps reduce friction and tension, helping minimise breakage, tangles and unwanted creases.

Each scrunchie is crafted using fabric remnants from our silk sleep mask production, allowing us to make thoughtful use of every piece of silk and reduce waste wherever possible.

It holds the hair gently while helping reduce frizz, pressure marks and the risk of breakage, making it especially suitable for delicate, dry, curly, textured or fragile hair.

Will a Silk Scrunchie Leave Marks in My Hair?

A silk scrunchie is less likely to leave strong creases than tighter, thinner elastics, especially when tied softly. The smooth silk surface helps reduce friction and pressure on the hair, making it a gentler way to tie it back during the day or while sleeping.

While any hair tie can leave a slight shape depending on hair type and how tightly it is worn, silk helps make the hold softer, smoother and less harsh.

How Do I Wash My Silk Scrunchie?

Wash your silk scrunchie gently with a silk-friendly detergent at maximum 30°C, using a delicate silk or wool wash programme. For extra protection, place it inside a washing bag and avoid washing it with rough fabrics or garments with zippers. Do not tumble dry, instead gently reshape the scrunchie and allow it to air dry naturally away from direct sunlight. If needed, iron carefully at a low temperature.
