Craftsmanship

The Beauty Sleeper is designed in Copenhagen and handcrafted by a small family-run sewing studio in Shanghai, world-renowned for its long tradition of working with silk.

We believe in fewer, better things: products made to last, not to be replaced. Each sleep mask is carefully finished by hand, combining Scandinavian simplicity with generations of silk expertise.

For selected styles, we work with surplus and deadstock fabrics to give high-quality textiles new life and reduce unnecessary waste.

Fabric & Care

This handcrafted sleep mask is made from 100% pure Mulberry silk on both the exterior and the lining, one of the softest and most skin-friendly natural fibres available.

Our fabrics are digitally printed in small batches by our OEKO-TEX certified supplier using Azo dye-free inks and minimal water. A layer of natural wool sits in between, acting as a soft insulator for a gently weighted, comfortable feel against the skin. Silk and wool are entirely natural fibres, breathable and temperature-regulating by nature, keeping you cool when you need it and warm when you don't.

This sleep mask can be washed on a wool or silk programme at a maximum of 30°C using a specialist wool and silk detergent. Do not tumble dry. Lay flat or hang to dry away from direct sunlight. Iron on low heat if needed.

Faaborg Museum

Apus takes its name from the constellation of the bird of paradise, and was inspired by childhood visits to Faaborg Museum and the golden peacock motifs found in the wall paintings of Danish artist Johannes Larsen.

Faaborg is the founder Lotte's hometown, and the museum has been part of her life since she was a child. The peacocks that move through Johannes Larsen's decorative paintings, bold and beautiful against the warm walls, stayed with her. When the time came to create a print that felt truly personal, she returned to them.

The Apus Print

Against a warm golden background, peacocks with luminous teal tail feathers perch among branches heavy with soft lavender peonies in full bloom. The palette moves between the richness of amber silk, the cool elegance of grey and turquoise feathers, and the quiet beauty of flowers that seem to open slowly, without any particular hurry.
