Description

The Cap Ferrat Sleep Mask was inspired by a summer spent with my family on Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat, where pine trees, pale stone and the Mediterranean meet.

Handcrafted from surplus Italian wool and linen tweed with a 100% pure mulberry silk lining, the mask is softly padded with natural wool. Its generous shape blocks out unwanted light to create a cocoon of darkness around the eyes, while the smooth silk sits softly against the delicate skin around the eyes.

The surplus tweed was found in limited quantity and given a new life in The Beauty Sleeper collection.

I remember our long morning walks by the sea, the soft greens of the pines, sandy paths and cool grey stone against the blue of the Mediterranean, colours that found their way into this beautifully textured Italian tweed.

Textured, sun-faded and quietly elegant, Cap Ferrat carries something of that Mediterranean summer with it.

Handmade in very limited quantities. Once the fabric is gone, it is gone.

Why Darkness Matters

Light is one of the most powerful signals the body uses to regulate our natural sleep-wake cycle. Even low levels of ambient light, from a streetlamp or early morning sun, can make complete darkness surprisingly difficult to find.

Craftsmanship

Our pieces are designed in Copenhagen and handcrafted in small quantities by a family-run sewing studio in Shanghai, a city with a long tradition of working with silk.

We work closely with our Danish-based partner, who oversees the making of each piece. Every piece is carefully cut, sewn and finished by hand, with close attention to the details that make it comfortable to use and beautiful to live with, night after night.

For selected designs, we work with surplus and deadstock fabrics, allowing beautiful existing materials to find a new purpose.

Fabric & Care

This handcrafted sleep mask is made from Italian surplus wool and linen tweed, giving a beautiful existing fabric a new purpose.

The exterior is a blend of 58% wool and 42% linen, with a lining of 100% pure mulberry silk, chosen for its exceptionally smooth, soft feel against the delicate skin around the eyes. A layer of natural wool sits between the fabrics, adding gentle insulation and giving the mask its softly padded, comfortable feel.

Silk, linen and wool are naturally breathable fibres, helping the mask feel comfortable against the skin throughout the night.

Wash on a wool or silk programme at a maximum of 30°C using a specialist wool and silk detergent. Do not tumble dry. Lay flat or hang to dry away from direct sunlight. Iron on low heat if needed.

Shipping & Delivery

Free shipping is available on orders over DKK 2,000 within Denmark and €450 on international orders.

Orders placed before 12 noon on working days are dispatched the same day. Orders placed after 12 noon are dispatched within 1–3 working days.

In Denmark, orders dispatched on a working day are usually delivered the following working day.

Inspired by Cap Ferrat

Inspired by a summer spent with my family on Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat, one of those rare places that feels both beautiful and wonderfully unhurried.

We spent our mornings walking the coastal paths around the headland, beneath the pine trees and alongside the Mediterranean, followed by long afternoons by the sea.

The colours stayed with me. The soft greens of the pines, sandy paths, pale stone and the changing blues of the water became the starting point for the Cap Ferrat collection.

Why Choose a Silk Sleep Mask Instead of Cotton?

Silk has a naturally smooth surface that creates less friction against the skin than cotton, making it particularly comfortable to wear around the delicate eye area throughout the night.
