Crafted from 100% twill silk and softly padded with natural wool, its generous shape blocks out unwanted light to create a cocoon of darkness around the eyes. Why Darkness Matters

Light is one of the most powerful signals the body uses to regulate our natural sleep-wake cycle. Even low levels of ambient light, from a streetlamp or early morning sun, can make complete darkness surprisingly difficult to find.

By blocking out unwanted light, a sleep mask creates a consistently dark environment that can help you settle into sleep and remain undisturbed by changes in light throughout the night and into the early morning.

Craftsmanship

Our pieces are designed in Copenhagen and handcrafted in small quantities by a family-run sewing studio in Shanghai, a city with a long tradition of working with silk.

We work closely with our Danish-based partner, who oversees the making of each piece. Every piece is carefully cut, sewn and finished by hand, with close attention to the details that make it comfortable to use and beautiful to live with, night after night.

For selected designs, we work with surplus and deadstock fabrics, allowing beautiful existing materials to find a new purpose.

Fabric & Care

This handcrafted sleep mask is made from 100% pure mulberry silk on both the exterior and lining, chosen for its exceptionally smooth, soft feel against the delicate skin around the eyes.

A layer of natural wool sits between the silk, adding gentle insulation and giving the mask its softly padded, comfortable feel. Both silk and wool are naturally breathable, helping the mask feel comfortable against the skin throughout the night.

Wash on a wool or silk programme at a maximum of 30°C using a specialist wool and silk detergent. Do not tumble dry. Lay flat or hang to dry away from direct sunlight. Iron on low heat if needed.

Shipping & Delivery

Free shipping is available on orders over DKK 2,000 within Denmark and €450 on international orders.

Orders placed before 12 noon on working days are dispatched the same day. Orders placed after 12 noon are dispatched within 1–3 working days.

In Denmark, orders dispatched on a working day are usually delivered the following working day.

The Pisces Print

Bold cornflower blue and ivory stripes run across the silk in a classic Breton pattern, one of the oldest and most reliable combinations in fashion. It is the kind of print that belongs on a sailboat, on a terrace overlooking the water, or on a bedside table in a room that feels like a holiday.

This print was created in collaboration with Holly Go Lightly, for many years one of the most iconic fashion boutiques in Scandinavia. The boutique no longer exists, which makes this design something rarer still: a piece of Scandinavian fashion history, as fresh and timeless as the stripes themselves.

The Beauty Sleeper Story

The Beauty Sleeper began with a simple desire to create a sleep mask beautiful enough to leave on the bed rather than hide in a drawer.

What started as a personal search for better sleep soon grew into a collection of objects for sleep and rest, inspired by travel, beautiful interiors and the things we choose to live with night after night.

Today, The Silk Sleep Mask remains at the heart of everything we do. Each one is handmade in small quantities, combining natural materials and careful craftsmanship with a design made to last beyond seasons.

Rather than rubbing or pulling as you move during the night, the silk glides softly against the skin. Our Silk Sleep Masks are lined with 100% pure mulberry silk, so only the smooth silk sits directly against your face.

Does the Sleep Mask Block Out Light?

Yes. The Silk Sleep Mask is generously shaped and softly padded to provide comfortable coverage around the eyes and block out unwanted light.

Its larger shape helps create a cocoon of darkness, protecting your sleep from streetlights, bright rooms and changes in light throughout the night and early morning.

Why Choose a Silk Sleep Mask Instead of Cotton?

Silk has a naturally smooth surface that creates less friction against the skin than cotton, making it particularly comfortable to wear around the delicate eye area throughout the night.

Wash your Silk Sleep Mask on a wool or silk programme at a maximum of 30°C using a specialist wool and silk detergent. We recommend placing it in a washing bag for extra protection and washing it separately from heavier items.

Do not tumble dry. Gently reshape the mask while damp and lay flat or hang to dry away from direct sunlight. Iron on low heat if needed.
